Ingredients
- 4 Tablespoon fresh parsley
- 1 Tablespoon fresh basil
- 2 Tablespoon fresh chives
- 2 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
- 8 ounce goat cheese log
- crackers or sliced baguette
Instructions
- Finely chop the parsley, basil, chives, and thyme leaves and toss to mix well.
- Place combined minced fresh herbs on a plate.
- Roll goat cheese log in the herb mixture until completely coated. You can coat the ends or leave them as is.
- Wrap herb coated goat cheese log in plastic wrap and twist the ends. Make sure the cheese is wrapped tight! Gently squeeze or roll the log to help press the herbs into the goat cheese.
- Refrigerate up to 3 days. Remove 15-20 minutes before serving.
- Unwrap and with crackers or sliced baguette.
Notes
Goat Cheese. Use any size of goat cheese log and adjust your herbs accordingly. If your event is long, consider using smaller logs and replenishing them during the party.
Herbs. Make this your own with your favorite fresh herb combination or just one herb. Spice it up with some red pepper flakes, paprika, or cayenne pepper.
Leftover Herbed Cheese. If you are within the FDA guidelines and can save your herbed goat cheese, it is delicious with hot pasta like this Summer Vegetable Pasta, salads like this Easy Arugula Salad, or roasted veggies like this Broccoli with Garlic.
