  • Coarse salt and pepper (fresh ground if possible) to taste

Notes

We love this base recipe, it is easy and quick, so have fun with it! Get creative and try other seasonings, no seasonings, add cheese, or a different oil. Cut the squares in rectangles, mini squares, or triangles.

Wonton wrappers can be hard to locate in the store. Most grocery stores will carry them, but you may have to ask. Depending on the store, we have found them in the deli section, vegetable section, or with the cheese.

Brush on just enough oil to make sure the cracker is lightly coated. Too much and the cracker will be oily, not enough and it will be dry. We found 1 Tablespoon of oil was enough to make all these crackers.

Storing wonton crackers. These homemade wonton crisps will last up to 3 days in an airtight container on the counter. NOTE: This recipe calls for half a package of the wonton wrappers. Uncooked wrappers freeze great! Wrap unused wrappers in the package and place in an airtight container. Freeze for up to 9 months. They thaw quickly either on the counter or in the refrigerator.
